Coleridge Residents Association, Goring
Scheme informationColeridge Residents Association was formed around 1997 for the benefit of the residents who live in Coleridge Crescent, Coleridge Road and Coleridge Close and was then part of the NHW scheme.Committee members were also registered as NHW Co-ordinators but have since been non active. In 1998/99, Coleridge Mews a small development consisting of 7 houses were built which were automatically included in the scheme. Annual Residents meetings were held to encourage neighbours to attend and to update them of any local activity by WBC and WSCC including anti-social behaviour and an opportunity for residents to air any grievance they may have about the standard of the environment to ensure the safety, protection of their families and to encourage a friendly neighbourhood. Since graffiti is no longer a problem and the anti-social behaviour is virtually non existent in the immediate area, residents have been non active in attending meetings. However, as I am the Chairman, I still play an active role (behind the scenes) in speaking on behalf of the residents to the local authorities WBC, WSCC and to the local Police to ensure our green areas are kept under control and our roads and pavements are maintained to as safe a standard as current finances allow and to ensure our streets are safe to walk during hours of darkness. Should any resident have any grievance in this area about the services within our environment then to contact me so that I may put the wheels in motion to hopefully correct the situation or problem.
