June is the month of community

We celebrate Neighbourhood Watch Week in June, as part of the Month of Community. It is an opportunity to bring our neighbourhoods closer, give back, and shine a light on our amazing work our members do.

June will see a month of community events and celebrations across the UK, as we get together to share friendships, have fun and support various charities and causes.

Celebrate our impact

Our members improve the lives of neighbours and friends in their communities, through organising litter picks; sharing crime prevention advice; helping vulnerable neighbours; or by simply saying hello!

We want to celebrate the positive impact that these actions have. Volunteers help reduce loneliness and isolation, build resilience and connection in communities, and help prevent crime.

If you'd like to share a story from your community, where Neighbourhood Watch volunteers and activities have had a positive impact, complete our online form.

Invite people to join your local scheme

Want to expand your group? Why not start with a door knocking event and introducing yourself. Need a conversation starter? We have membership flyers, join postcards, crime prevention booklets, promotional items (mugs, pens, lanyards), or road signs and window stickers, in our shop

Or you may want to arrange an event and invite neighbours, such as a tea or coffee morning, a litter pick event, a big lunch, a street party or a treasure hunt. Find more ideas to make your area a better place to live
