This year, as we celebrate 40 years of supporting neighbours and building communities' resilience, we are delighted to mark Neighbourhood Watch Week, 30th May - 5th June 2022, with the theme of 40 YEARS, 40 ACTIONS.

To inspire you to get involved we have developed a 40 YEARS, 40 ACTIONS Pack. Download it and pick and choose the actions that suit you and your community. The 40 actions range from easy to hard, free to expense required, and online to face-to-face. Each activity has some information or linked resources to support you to get started, and we will add to these over the coming months.

Neighbourhood Watch Week this year not only falls on the same weekend as The Big Lunch, but it also falls on a 4-day weekend with May Day Bank Holiday on Thursday 2nd June and the Queen's Platinum Jubilee on Friday 3rd June. With always putting health and safety first, if you are considering planning a street party follow our HOW TO ORGANISE A STREET PARTY guide. Alternatively, visit The big Jubilee Lunch for resources and ideas. DOWNLOAD THE 40 YEARS, 40 ACTIONS PACK

      The Month of Community

The Month of Community is a time when we come together to celebrate everything that makes our communities great. It's an opportunity to bring our neighbourhoods closer, give back, and shine a light on the amazing communities we live in. June will see a month of community events and celebrations across the UK, as we get together to share friendship, have fun and support a variety of charities and causes.

Last year, over 15 million people took part in the first-ever Month of Community, and this year it’s going to be even bigger and better. Jam-packed with brilliant causes, this June will see millions get together with their neighbours for The Big Lunch (2-5 June), with the fun continuing during Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), Loneliness Awareness Week (June 13-17) and beyond, as many more charities get involved.

So don't miss out, join in this June - whether you want to say cheers to volunteers, connect with your neighbours, support a cause you care about, or simply to say thank you, it's all part of the Month of Community!
