Who is this for?

The Belgravia and Mayfair areas of London are known for their beautiful homes, independent shops, thriving cafés and world-renowned restaurants. But even in the safest communities, there is always more that can be done to strengthen local connections and create an environment where everyone feels safe and supported.

With ongoing investment bringing new people into the area, building a strong sense of community has never been more important. Funded by Grosvenor, this free training has been created specifically for people who live or work in the area. This training will help you connect with your community and feel more confident to respond safely if you witness a problem

What is bystander intervention training?

Imagine you see someone being harassed. There are plenty of people around, so it's easy to assume somebody else will step in and help. Often, however, no one does. This is known as the bystander effect. Using interactive scenarios and real-life examples, you'll learn simple techniques that can make a positive difference without putting yourself at risk. This free training will give you:

  • Confidence in recognising when someone may need help.
  • Practical techniques for intervening safely and effectively.
  • A better understanding of personal safety and community responsibility.
  • The opportunity to meet and connect with people who live and work locally.
  • Skills that can make Belgravia and Mayfair safer, more welcoming places for everyone.
