What is a Communi-Tea?
It's basically a tea-party. Something as basic as having a cup of tea can help people get to know each other, start conversations, build connections, and create a sense of pride in your neighbourhood. Research shows that stronger communities are safer communities, so bringing people together is a fundamental creating better places to live.
How do I host one?
We've put together advice on how to organise your event, with downloadable resources here. We've also created Communi-Tea packs with how-to guides, teabags, posters, invitations and balloons to help get you started. The packs cost £7.50 (plus postage, get them in the Neighbourhood Watch shop.
When should I have a Communi-Tea event?
We've created the packs to help our members organise events during Neighbourhood Watch week (which is always the first week of June) - but you can host them any time of year.
