Your Local Scheme
It was started to make people feel safer and more secure in their own neighbourhood. I usually send out 11 newsletters from time to time as and when I get news. This way residents feel they are involved in the scheme. I ask them to pass on these newsletters once they have read them. We live in a culdersack and so is fairly easy to notice odd or peculiar goings on. We have a mix of old and young people and while younger people are often out during the day us older residents can keep our eyes and ears peeled for unusual things. I think it can bring a community closer together.
