Meadow Road Neighbourhood Watch, in Derbyshire, asked residents to donate items for a local food bank. The collection took place in the run up to Christmas.
What did you do and why?
Over a period of three weeks we asked our residents to donate items of non-perishable items.

What worked well?
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of people – we collected a huge amount of food. We took the donated items to our local food bank based at the Salvation Army.
How did you overcome any challenges?
We had so much donated we needed to have several car journeys to the Salvation Army to get it all there.
How did you cover any costs?
No costs involved.
