Every year, Neighbourhood Watch Network awards community grants to support local projects that help keep neighbourhoods safe. This year, applicants could apply to one of two funding streams:

Stream 1 – Invigorating new or existing watches. This stream offered 50 grants of £60 to help strengthen or establish local Neighbourhood Watch schemes.

Stream 2 – Tackling key crime priorities. This stream supported new, one‑off projects focused on combating knife crime, cybercrime, or violence against women and girls. It offered 10 grants of up to £500.

In total, we received nearly 200 applications, reflecting an inspiring level of interest from people determined to make their neighbourhoods safer, stronger, and better connected.

We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to apply; we only wish we could support even more projects. This year’s successful applicants included:

  • Initiatives providing digital inclusion sessions for local residents, supported by our Cyberhood Watch Ambassadors.
  • Two projects addressing knife crime through awareness‑raising and the distribution of emergency bleed kits in key town‑centre locations.
  • Two projects dedicated to tackling violence against women and girls, working alongside police and specialist charities to equip communities with the skills and confidence to intervene safely.

Although this year’s fund is now closed, the next round will open in the Autumn. Keep an eye on your inbox and our social media channels for updates.
