A long-standing Neighbourhood Watch coordinator has been commended for his work.
Ernest Hooker, 92, received the National Police Association’s Commanders Certificate for Outstanding Work.
He recieved the award from Commander Inspector Emma Maxwell and Sergeant Dave Cleaver (pictured above) at Hinckley Police Station.
The Leicestershire coordinator has taken a brief respite from his duties in recent months but plans to return to his role later this year.
However, he’s keeping busy in his temporary retirement by recruiting two more people to roles in Neighbourhood Watch.
