"I joined the Youth Council because I wanted to make a positive impact and contribute to crime prevention in my area and across England and Wales. The best part of my experience has been meeting like-minded people and learning new things about crime prevention and related topics.
I'm particularly proud of creating the ASB project to educate and spread awareness. Through the Youth Council, I've developed my IT skills, teamwork abilities, and improved my interpersonal and communication skills. I've also learned that it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them.
If you're considering joining, my advice is to take every opportunity for growth and development, and don't be afraid to ask questions. I found out about the Youth Council through a social media advert, and it's been an invaluable experience."
