What inspired you to create a project about ASB awareness and education?
Growing up seeing news articles of severe crimes relating to ASB but also witnessing and experiencing it in my area, I wanted to contribute to meaningful work that resonated with my values but would also benefit society in the long term.
How would you describe your experience of co-designing and co-leading this project with Neighbourhood Watch Network?
100% a very good learning experience, collaborating with others that have different skill sets and strengths to my own has been beneficial to my growth, working with likeminded people made the process smoother, any issues we had Ashley and Neighbourhood Watch were very approachable.
Why do you think today's communities across England and Wales need to be aware of the impact of ASB?
It's very important to have an awareness of ASB to reduce the number of crimes associated with it and have support networks, this can have a negative effects on individuals, not just for those experiencing ASB and suffer with long lasting effects but groups that normalise this, without education, this is how they go on to commit more serious crimes.
What are your hopes for this project?
I'd like for the project to gain a positive reception, all of our hard-work that we have put into this to be acted on by members of the public, encouraging those to lead peaceful lives not fearing their communities through education.
