FFA UK is responsible for leading the collective fight against fraud in the UK payments industry.
“It has been a successful and busy year for FFA UK as we have ramped up our fight against financial fraud. We launched Take Five – the new awareness campaign encouraging people to take a moment to stop and think before divulging information.
“We have been an integral part of establishing the new Joint Fraud Taskforce and we delivered the Banking Protocol, a crime prevention partnership which has so far prevented over £2 million in financial harm.”

FFA UK’s membership includes the major banks, credit, debit and charge card issuers, and card payment acquirers. Through industry collaboration FFA UK seeks to be the authoritative leader in defending consumers and businesses from financial fraud, by creating the most hostile environment in the world for fraudsters.
FFA UK’s primary role is to drive collaborative action to reduce the impact of financial fraud and scams both across the industry, and with partners in the public sector, private sector, and law enforcement.
It operates its own data and intelligence sharing bureau and sponsors a fully operational police unit.
