Women's Aid are appealing for your support

For those who can’t find the words, are unsure whether they’re experiencing abuse or who struggle to get the help when they need it, our Live Chat can be their first steps to freedom.

I'm a survivor and the chat service would have been so helpful. I never felt confident making a phone call as feared being overheard

In the first three months of opening our Live Chat almost 30,000 people came to it. On International Women’s Day this year, we launched an urgent appeal to raise £200,000 needed keep this vital service running and help women who are experiencing domestic abuse.

When we launched our appeal, our digital services were already in high demand. Since the launch, we have all witnessed the spread and impact of Coronavirus and the threat it poses to women and children experiencing domestic abuse. Many women will now be isolated at home with an abuser, with little safety and no way to access face-to-face support. Our Live Chat has never been so important and we need your support more than ever to reach survivors trapped with a perpetrator.

Women need to be able to access expert, private support, wherever they are. Women’s Aid’s Live Chat service is a life-line to women that are unable to reach out for help over the phone, or who prefer to communicate online.

Please donate to keep this vital service running: Donate to #SupportSurvivors today.
