As Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator I set up a database of those needing help, those able to offer it and who they are helping to make sure that nobody is left feeling isolated.  It is working well. for example, one of our members who works in the local chemist has offered to bring our self isolating and vulnerable members delivery of their prescriptions.

We are lucky enough to have large front gardens and fairly well spaced properties. I organised a “socially distanced” street party for the 75th anniversary of VE Day on 8th May.

Two thirds of the households took part in glorious sunshine. It was interesting to walk along the length of the road and hear the different war time music playing as residents enjoyed either a tea party or BBQ.  Several participants carried on until the early evening!

I had a lot of thanks for suggesting the idea and it certainly seems like a good time was had by all!
