Sam joins us as Project Manager for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Sam previously worked as a coordinator of volunteers at a trust owned green space, and it was there that his passion for community involvement began. In this role he implemented several projects aimed at better engaging people with nature-based volunteering, especially young people and those facing mental health challenges. Late on in 2022, his team of passionate and hardworking volunteers were named Green Flags ‘Volunteer Team of the Year’.
Away from work, Sam continues to fly the flag for community led change. In tandem with other locals, he set up a local litter picking club, tasked with cleaning the streets in and around his home town of Queniborough. Meeting regularly, they are fast approaching 1000 kilograms of picked litter.
