On the recent bank holiday weekend, the newly formed Red Lion Lane Neighbourhood Watch Scheme in South East London held their first fundraising event.
Neighbours on the lane worked together to collect good quality items including donated luxury handbags and gorgeously designed ethical clothing. They had had a wonderfully successful day.
A total of £426 was raised for Woolwich Common Community Centre to help their work supporting domestic violence victims in the area.
It was wonderful to see community spirit in action through Neighbourhood Watch and to know we helped vulnerable people in the area
