Royal Borough Greenwich's Red Lion Lane Neighbourhood Watch used the recent Easter Sunday festivities to help a much loved local castle.
Lockdowns have severely impacted Sevendroog Castle, which relies on funds from their cafe, events and tours and Red Lion Lane Watch members were keen to help.
An Easter Egg hunt was organised with 380 eggs hidden in 14 houses and discovered by local children from the Lane, with due care paid to pandemic restrictions. Members decorated their houses and accessible gardens, and everyone had fun.
A wonderful total of £165 was raised for Sevendroog Castle. Neighbourhood Watch member Gemma O'Loghlen, and one of the hunt organisers, said 'It was heart warming to see members going above and beyond to create Easter fun for local children while raising money for a worthy local cause.'
