Victim Support offers specialist support for victims of crime. They can help victims of hate crime:
- deal with the immediate emotional impact of crime
- report the crime to the police
- find a counsellor to help a victim cope with what’s happened
- understand the criminal justice system
- make a compensation claim
- talk to other agencies, like the victim’s employer or housing officer
- find someone to repair locks or remove graffiti
- provide personal safety equipment such as personal and window alarms and dummy CCTV units
