Victim Support offers specialist support for victims of crime. They can help victims of hate crime:

  • deal with the immediate emotional impact of crime
  • report the crime to the police
  • find a counsellor to help a victim cope with what’s happened
  • understand the criminal justice system
  • make a compensation claim
  • talk to other agencies, like the victim’s employer or housing officer
  • find someone to repair locks or remove graffiti
  • provide personal safety equipment such as personal and window alarms and dummy CCTV units
