Wentworth Road (East of Wentworth Gate)

Scheme information

Wentworth Road is popular with familes, young singles and older residents. We are a busy road at commuter times and a regular location for "Doctors". Car theft and burglary are concerns shared with surrounding roads. Feeling safe while at the same time making new residents and visitors feel welcome is important to us. We may know of more vulnerable or isolated residents and would seek to offer support individually as well as through the scheme. New members are encouraged to register with WMNOW for updates from the police https://www.wmnow.co.uk/ & Neighbourhood watch (this site) https://www.ourwatch.org.uk/ to receive regular messages from the police. WhatsApp and other methods will be used to contact and update regarding events as well as issues of concern. Inclusivity is important to help and involve less tech aware residents. We will work together via a small committee to grow and achieve our aims.

Jonathan Bown
I have been living in Harborne for 30 years coming to Birmingham in 1989 for university. Our children attended Station Road School introducing us to local families. I have got to know the area a little more at local and national election times. As a GP I am aware of the damage caused to victims of crime and also some of the reasons for offending. Contact with people without somewhere to live focuses my understanding of antisocial behaviour. I am a keen "DIY-er" and enjoy cycling and gentler exercise. I would like to be a Radio Ham again one day when time allows
