I am a retired University Academic who has become increasingly concerned that the voice of the local populace is not being heard by East Renfrewshire Council (ERC) when they consider expansion of local housing in this area. ERC is a prosperous suburb of Glasgow and contains three of the top ten performing state schools in Scotland. There are also two successful Private Schools in the area. The area is extremely attractive to families and provides a very equatable environment. The BKMCC strives to reduce the risk of loss of attractiveness by the area through insensitive and over demanding development.
