Vicarage gate, st. erth

Scheme information

Regularly I receive information from either Devon & Cornwall Police or the main Neighbourhood watch co-ordinator informing me of incidents that have happened either in my area or close by. Some of this information I will pass onto my neighbours if I feel it is of interest or could be a concern of theirs. This will either be done via a note through their letter box or a verbal message. I also report to the Police any activity that appears to be causing concern or alarm to myself or my neighbours. I will also report things to D & C Police on behalf of a neighbour.

I am one of the original residents of Vicarage Gate and love the layout of the development. It is open with its own green located in the centre of the houses. This is a safe area for our children to play as there are no through roads. The Neighbourhood Watch was set up many years ago, when there was a general problem in the village with youngsters creating a nuisance with noise and on occasions alcohol related. As a few elderly people lived here it made them quite nervous and so a group of residents got together and decided we would join the scheme to look after our properties, area and neighbours.
