The Neighbourhood Watch Scheme on the Spinney Road Estate and adjoining roads and closes. The scheme is to help with: * Cut crime and the opportunities for crime and anti-social behaviour by improving security,increasing vigilance and increasing crime prevention awareness. * To help detect crime by promoting prompt reporting of suspicious and criminal activity and encourage effective communication. * Provide reassurance to local residents and reduce the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour by empowering and encouraging communities to take ownership of local issues. * Encourage neighbourliness and closer communities by helping to establish Community Spirit and improve police/community liaison. * Welcome newcomers to the estate. * Distribute all welcome packs and information.

I have lived in Burton Latimer for 18 years with my husband and two children (that are now grown up). I grew up in Burton Latimer as a child many years ago. I am a volunteer for our local "Blood Motorbikes". I start college full time as a mature student studying for a BTEC in Business. I started a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme on the estate that I live, as I wanted to make the estate safer for the community.
