Scheme information

This Neighbourhood Watch Scheme was one of the very first to be set up in Nottinghamshire. It was formed in 1986 to cover and protect the village of Attenborough. It's main objectives are to provide a link between the Police and the community; to keep a look out for potential and/or actual crime in the area; and to communicate advice on security matters through the distribution of regular newsletters. For many years, 30+ street co-ordinators would meet monthly with the local Police in the Cricket Pavilion to discuss crime and crime prevention. Latterly, Police reports have switched to the local CAT meetings held three times per year in Attenborough Village Hall.
