C268 Hollingwood

Scheme information

The scheme was started when a number of new houses were built on the site of the former Hollingwood School. I have been the Area Co-ordinator for 17 years, and am one of it's founder members. The scheme covers Lilac Street, including Hollingwood Primary School, Maple Street, Redwood Close, Acacia Avenue and Alpine Grove. Most of the households are members. I produce and distribute a monthly newsletter, providing information from derbyshirealert.co.uk, as well as crime statistics and general crime prevention information. The paper version of the newsletter is being phased out in favour of an electronic e-mailed version, which can provide more information and links to websites. Residents have been asked to e-mail hollingwoodnhw@hotmail.co.uk to register Our priority is providing advice and alerts on what is happening in our community as well as reassurance that Derbyshire is a safe place to live and work and recorded crime is low. - Simon Parker
