Blundell's Avenue (BANWatch)

Scheme information

This scheme potentially covers all houses in Blundells's Avenue and Horsden Lane. It has been in existence for at over 20 years. It has the usual priorities for a NW scheme, with particular emphasis on residents getting to know and trust one another. A regular Christmas supper is organised for NW members, addressed by a police representative. All members receive a list of useful contacts and occasional newsletters. There is a "cascade" scheme for passing on security messages by telephone and by email for members with computers. The current coordinator has been doing the job for 19 years!

Scheme coordinator

Gordon Davies
I took over as Coordinator in 1994. I am retired and try to encourage BANWatch members to get to know and trust one another, whilst keeping them fully informed of security matters. I issue at least one newsletter to members each year, and we have one or two social events (one just before Christmas). I also circulate to members a confidential list of members with relevant security information, which is updated annually.
