We enjoy a variety of activities including basic computer skills, staying safe online, various arts & crafts, learning about family history, how to avoid being scammed, listening to local speakers, wine tasting, bingo as well as having a choice of hot meal and refreshments for just £2.50. We also provide a support network for the vulnerable and elderly to prevent them from being targeting by fraud and ensure they are receiving the correct care in the event they are hospitalised etc. Each month we wil have a newsletters which is delivered to every household in the village to alert them to the latest scams and whats going on. The first one is being delivered over the next two weeks.

Lauren Brown
My name is Lauren and I have lived in the village for nearly 20 years. I have a caring nature and would hate to think of anyone suffering alone, especially an elderly person. I started the friendship club to try and encourage the village to pull together becoming a closer community. I wanted a place for the elderly to come along to, enjoy a hot meal and take part in a variety of activities such as arts & crafts, family history, learning computer skills, learning how to stay safe online and how to avoid being scammed as well as social evenings like wine tasting, bingo and afternoon. I felt that by creating the neighborhood newsletter would be a great way of letting people know what to look out for to avoid being a victim of a scam.
