Foord Road South

Scheme information

Foord Road South is a cul-de-sac located in the heart of Folkestone. Due to its proximity to the beach, train station and town centre it is a popular thoroughfare. This, in a way, encourages a level of anti-social behaviour during certain times of the day and night. To stay safe and prevent crime, households on this street work in partnership with the police and the local council. Our scheme distribute advice on security and safety within our area and help to make sure that members of our community aren't targets for criminals. We also gather information which can help police tackle local problems as well as alert local people when there is a particular crime problem in our area.

I have over 7 years experience in regeneration and have worked for and on behalf of business improvement districts and well as neighbourhood forum areas to address issues that make areas less desirable to live or work in. I have good working relationships with Kent Police and Shepway District Council and feel passionate about my street and my neighbourhood. I am happy to volunteer my spare time to improve the area for everyone here and would welcome support from any of my neighbours.
