Pitsmoor road area neighbourhood watch

Scheme information

Our group aims to improve the area around Pitsmoor Road and Rutland Road for residents and provide a point of contact, alongside Burngreave T.A.R.A., to build community, reduce crime and and make this area a better place to live. We are building a group of people to help this happen through regular communicatio n with the police, TARA, and council. Two police officers usually attend and we follow up concerns that were raised. Between us we are able to help identify who is causing problems particularly for vulnerable older residents. We hold our meetings in The Welcome Centre on Nottingham Street, Pitsmoor S3 9AQ. The next meeting will be at 7.30pm on Tuesday 20th September 2016. In the meantime if you have a concern we can be contacted through The Welcome Centre office on 01142757240. You are warmly invited to join us. It is also a great way to make friends in the area and feel you can make a difference to the community.

Frances Ireson
I have a pastoral role as a lay leader at Christ Church Pitsmoor and have started going to Burngreave T.A.R.A. where I have met a number of neighbours who have raised concerns about incidents occurring in the streets near the church. The aim of the group is to make connections with other residents in the vicinity to reduce crime and improve the community. As The Welcome Centre on Nottingham Street is well known locally, it is aimed to hold our meetings there. (office number 01142757240)
