Clos Ton Mawr Neighbourhood Watch

Scheme information

Our scheme covers all households in our street, which is a cul-de-sac. It was set up in 2012, initially with 18 households joining, we now have 22 households that includes 31 members. When members are away on holiday etc. myself and my deputy keep an eye out and make sure no post is left protruding from letter boxes. Many of our members are elderly and some housebound; we make sure that we all look out for each other. We keep a register of trusted trades people that members have used and know to be good and who provide excellent service and standards at a reasonable price. We provide regular updates in the form of a news sheet, warning of scams, burglaries etc. based on community messages received from the police and trading standards. We attend the local PACT meeting with councillors and neighbourhood police officers, making sure our members are kept informed.
