Histon and Impington

Scheme information

In the villages of Histon and Impington It is the intention to implement a network of people who will help to reduce the incidence of crime, criminal and antisocial behaviour by the simple expedient of being observant. This can happen simply by noting anything unusual in your own area/street. By notifiying your street organiser or the police on 101, something that may seem trivial on its own can build a pattern for the police to work with and can help to apprehend criminals. Often when a neighbourhood watch scheme is in place (with the stickers on lamposts and houses), this is a deterrent to beging with and antisocial behaviour and crime can be dramatically reduced. All this with little effort, just by being aware in our daily lives and notifying the appropriate people.
