Trimley East Scheme

Scheme information

Trimley East Scheme was incorporated in 1990 and originally involved part of High Road and Spriteshall Lane, Trimley St. Mary. This has grown to include parts of New Road and Welbeck Close. The scheme operates informally with newsletters as and when depending urgency and on the run up to Christmas. The scheme has a joint Christmas Tree Switch On described as a community project with the Parish Council who supply the tree and lights. NW provide an evening of carols, Father Christmas with free presents, hot apple punch and sausage rolls, mince pies or Christmas biscuits. A nominal charge is made for food and drink and funds are augmented with a draw with prizes supplied from members. Father Christmas switches on the lights and the evening commences with carols led by a small ad hoc choir. Funds are generated to provide scheme administration and crime prevention initiatives.
