Windmill Green

Scheme information

Windmill Green has thirty-eight houses in total. The Scheme was started in the summer of 2003 and we have six Committee members. We started the Scheme after a neighbour came across someone in anothr neighbour's garden 'supposedly' looking for someone. We felt it was a good idea overall to have such a Scheme. Committee membership is not a huge commitment. Initially we approached each household asking if they were in favour of a Scheme being set up and the response was good. There are be-monthly meetings of the Local Association which are held in St Bryce Kirk, Kirkcaldy. I must say it is extremely worthwhile having a Scheme in your street - it encourages community spirit. In addition I type up a Newsletter three or four times a year, but that is entirely my choice. In addition, we keep all residents up to date with information.
