4 Ways 2 Warmth Awareness Raising Events
26 January 2012
Partners across the 4 Ways 2 Warmth Campaign would like to invite you to a Raising Awareness Event in your local area - details of these events can be found below.
This Campaign is funded by The Department of Health after Leicestershire County Council and its partners (across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland; in local community groups, volunteer sector and statutory organisations) jointly bid and were successfully awarded a grant at the end of December to be spent by the end of March 2012!
Together we will identify and give practical help and advice to people at most risk and offer practical help by providing:
· Winter warmer packs
· Emergency heating/water
· Hypothermia thermometers
· Roof space clearance to enable free loft insulation
· Pipe lagging
· Electric blankets
· Advice on eating well and keeping warm etc.
4 Ways 2 Warmth aims to promote a countywide network of well informed volunteers and professional staff who may come into contact with vulnerable people through their daily life and work.
By attending this awareness event you can:
· help identify vulnerable people be able to recognise the signs of hypothermia
· offer practical help and advice by understanding what is available to help
· signpost people to the right places to get help
· find out more about being part of the 4 Ways 2 Warmth legacy through Nominated/Good Neighbour Schemes or being an Energy Champion
