The Neighbourhood & Home Watch Network is the largest voluntary movement in the UK covering 3.8 million households. In order to develop and remain sustainable, we must utilise the skills of our membership.
Volunteers possessing the right skills, abilities and qualifications are invited to come forward and help to take our projects forward.
All volunteers will be supervised and should be able to work remotely, at a time to suit individual needs. Roles will be based on a temporary schedule in line with project priorities and subject to regular review. Volunteers will be reimbursed for any expenses incurred.
It is hoped that volunteers will build on their existing skills and gain valuable knowledge and experience, including forging links with partner organisations and working as part of a team. Volunteers will be provided with a written reference on request.
All roles are expected to take between 2 - 5 hours per week of the volunteer's time, and include:
- Volunteer Funding Coordinator
- National Commercial and Corporate Volunteer Lead
- National NHW Week Campaign Coordinator
- National Junior Neighbourhood Watch Lead
- National Wider Watch Volunteer Coordinator
- National Marketing and Public Relations Lead
If you are interested in any of these volunteer roles please contact your Regional Representative (details of which can be found on the appropriate regional page here) or contact NHWN by email or on 0116 229 3118.
